Win an Ecosense Paint Kit

Having never run a giveaway on A Smallholder's Diary, I find myself running my second in as many weeks. This one has a green theme to it.

Here’s your chance to experience a greener way to paint with new Dulux Ecosense. A Smallholder’s Diary is offering three people the chance to win an Ecosense paint kit. Ecosensewww.dulux.co.uk/ecosense – is a new virtually odour free paint range from Dulux with half the carbon and water footprint and 40% less waste than standard Dulux Matt paint (2008), Ecosense contains zero added solvent which means no strong, lingering paint odours around the house both during and after decorating.

Perfect for a springtime home make-over, Dulux Ecosense Matt is available in 20 fresh new colours plus white for walls and ceilings. Dulux Ecosense is also available in Satinwood – for interior wood and metal and is available in a choice of 5 colours (plus white). It has 90% less solvent, 15% less waste and a 35% lower carbon footprint than the Dulux solvent-based Satinwood formulation. The Ecosense range also uses 20% recycled packaging.

Check out this Ecosense video to find out more: http://www.dulux.co.uk/products/ecosense/index.jsp

To enter - all you need to do is leave a comment. If you have a blog you can also earn yourself an additional entry by writing a post that links to this post - it doesn't have to be a whole post, just a sentence within a post is fine. You will need to let me know within your comment that you have done this.

The paint kits consists of one 2.5 litre pot of Ecosense matt in a colour of your choice plus one 1 litre pot of Ecosense satinwood also in a colour of your choice. This contest is open until 16th June 2010 at 12:00 midnight UK time. All entries after this date will not be counted. The winners will be announced on 18th June 2010.

Please note - this giveaway is open to UK residents only.

Good luck to you all!!

this sounds like a fantastic giveaway ...imagine being able to spruce up your house and help the environment...however i am a little confused....it says in your post you have until the 16th may yet the post (according to my computer) went up on the 30th may....so maybe you meant to put June??? I would mention this in my next blog post for others to have a chance as well but I don't want to if I've missed the deadline so can you let me know. Thanks and if I have missed it i will be sure to look into buying this paint anyway!"

Oops!! Thanks for pointing this out Tanya. It is 16th June - this is what happens when you write posts late at night! Amended now.

One thing I hate about painting is the lingering smells so this range sounds great, as well as it being greener too.

Well I really don't want to win this, but the other half insists I enter. It is a great giveaway. If I do win then looks like I have lost a lazy Sunday.

Ordinary paint makes me feel really ill so we haven't painted anything for years! I'll be investigating Ecosense as soon as possible!

I hate the smell of paint. Need to paint our bathroom. It lets the rest 0f the house down.

This sounds really good. We try to be as 'green' as possible, also I hate the smell of the solvents in paint. I would love to win this.

I think that this is a great idea - I'm always trying to do more to help the environment and be greener, plus I find the sustained solvent smell in the air often affects my asthma as well. All in all, this is brilliant and a very long time coming!

This would be brilliant as my Dad who's a little more senior now desperately needs a fair bit of decorating to get his house and garden into order, any help I could give him would no doubt bring a smile to his face. good luck all

great giveaway - I have to do some decorating soon and as recent blood tests have suggested that my current ill health is due to exposure to various commonly found chemicals I am even keener to use sustainable and low impact products.

i love paint i do, and my old one i used was a right dirty mare. I love the fact that your paint smells like a summer breeze, not like a right dirty mare. I would love your paint

I have just decorated my sons room and now the other bedrooms look shoddy. Great prize that is so useful. Like the fact it helps the environment. We all need to do our bit.

At last a paint that won't leave me feeling nauseous with a bad headache from the way it sound. The fact that it is kind to the planet is an added bonus.
